Parking Regulations

The City of Little Falls provides ample parking throughout the City. The Downtown District has seven City owned parking lots in the downtown shopping area along with on-street parking.

On-street parking is limited to three hours, see map, unless marked differently. City parking lots have a 24-hour limit. There are also many businesses that provide private parking for their customers. On-street parking in residential areas is limited to 24 hours unless marked differently. All other Minnesota state laws related to parking also apply.

Truck Parking

It is unlawful to park a detached semi-trailer on any street, City parking lot or other public property. It is also unlawful to park any commercial vehicle with a gross weight of 18,000 pounds or more within an area zoned residential except for the purpose of loading or unloading. Parking of commercial vehicles is permitted in duly designated and sign-posted loading zones and alleys for up to 15 minutes as long as the flow of traffic is not interrupted.

Snow Removal

Snow removal parking restrictions in the downtown district are posted 12 hours in advance and any vehicles remaining on the street after that time are towed at the owner’s expense. Vehicles that are parked on City streets longer than 24 hours in residential or any other business district are also towed at the owner’s expense prior to snow removal operations.
