Public Access TV
The City of Little Falls has a Cable TV Franchise with Charter Communications. As a part of this franchise, the City receives a PEG fee that is collected from the Cable TV customers. A PEG fee, [i.e. Public Education Government], provides funding to create the Public Access channels on Cable TV. This franchise fee allows the airing of City Council, School Board, County Commissioner meetings, in addition to school boards, arts programs, community events, etc. The City has contracted the running of the Public Access Channels with Great River Arts and Independent School District 482.
Great River Television is viewed on Charter Cable Channel 180 in Little Falls. Coverage includes the area of Little Falls. Great River Television provides coverage on local government including City Council, County Commissioners and School Board meetings. City Council meetings are rebroadcast on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and also on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.
Great River Television also provides coverage of some local church services, concerts, sporting events, and community events and activities. If you are interested in having an event included on Great River Television, or video duplication and conversion services, please contact Mark Slupe.
