Performing Arts
Great River Arts Association (GRAA) is a local arts agency which provides artists and arts organizations with support services and opportunities for growth, while offering the public opportunities to experience and explore the arts in the Little Falls area. GRAA sponsors fine art exhibits, professional performances, concerts by regional musicians, arts in the schools, workshops, and community events. GRAA offers technical assistance in the arts and also provides local arts information to the public. Located at 122 1st Street SE, (320) 632-0960.

Heartland Symphony Orchestra is a 50-piece community orchestra based in the Little Falls and Brainerd area, which is made up of adult and student musicians. The orchestra presents a three-concert season (October, December, April), performing each concert in both Brainerd and Little Falls, with a third performance often presented in another neighboring community. The Hole-in-the Day Players community theatre presents a major musical each summer, dinner theatre performances, and various other drama presentations both in the schools and for the general public. They also write and perform commissioned pieces, offer a local drama scholarship, and perform at many community events. Call (320) 632-0960 for current performance information or to participate.

Concerts in the Park, presented by The Great River Arts Association, are held weekly on Sunday afternoon (3:00 pm) at Maple Island Park, which is nestled on the Mississippi River in downtown Little Falls. Running from mid-June through August, local and regional performers present a wide variety of musical eras and styles in an informal, outdoor, family event each week. Admission is free. Little Falls House Concerts bring a wide variety of grass roots musicians to Little Falls to perform in an intimate setting. These evening concerts include all types of music and are held at The Pine Edge Inn in Little Falls from September through May. St. Francis Music Center has a staff of 18 professional teachers and offers private and group lessons for students of all ages in piano, organ, guitar, orchestral strings, voice, band instruments, preschool piano, and percussion. The curriculum also includes dance, gymnastics, preschool music, voice, two string orchestras and a community chorale. Other offerings are College Prep Theory Classes as well as classes in theater and creative dramatics, multicultural arts, conducting, composition, and recording when there is an interest expressed. Galleries
Great River Arts Association (GRAA) sponsors three visual arts galleries that present ongoing fine art exhibits. Regional artists working in a variety of mediums, as well as area student artists, are featured on a rotating basis throughout the year. Admission is free. Galleries are open to the public.
